Heavy rain in Uttarakhand and northern India caused significant disruptions, flooding homes and roads in Khatima and leading to severe traffic jams in Delhi, Chandigarh, and Panchkula. The Uttarakhand Chief Minister directed officials to monitor the situation and stay alert. In Chandigarh, four routes were closed, and the Ghaggar river neared dangerous levels, with warnings issued to avoid waterlogged areas.
