The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has released a list of 1,804 "tainted" candidates involved in a cash-for-jobs scam, as ordered by the Supreme Court. This follows the court's annulment of 25,753 teaching and non-teaching job appointments due to fraud in the 2016 recruitment process. The WBSSC must now initiate a fresh selection process, with exams scheduled for September 7 and 14.
