Victoria Shipyards supports Canada's plan to build new submarines, set to deliver the first by 2035.

Victoria Shipyards in British Columbia has endorsed the federal government's plan to modernize the Royal Canadian Navy's submarine fleet. The Canadian Patrol Submarine Project has picked Thyssen Krupp Marine Systems from Germany and South Korea's Hanwha Ocean Co. as qualified suppliers. Victoria Shipyards, which has maintained the current fleet for over 15 years, is expected to play a key role in the new project, set to deliver the first vessel by 2035.
