Police chase on I-15 ends in crash, officer-involved shooting, closing all southbound lanes.

On Friday, a police chase involving Escondido officers led to a crash and an officer-involved shooting on Southbound Interstate 15 near State Route 163 in San Diego. The pursuit started around 4 p.m. and ended in a collision around 5 p.m. One woman was wounded and taken to a hospital. All southbound lanes of I-15 were closed, causing traffic diversion to SR-163. The reason for the pursuit is not yet known.
