Claire Byrne leaves RTÉ for Newstalk, with David McCullagh taking her Today Show role.

Claire Byrne, RTÉ's longtime radio host, is leaving to join Newstalk, where she will host a mid-morning show starting early next year. RTÉ will replace Byrne with David McCullagh on their Today Show from November. Pat Kenny will move to a weekend slot at Newstalk. Byrne's show on RTÉ was popular, attracting 354,000 listeners.
