Prime Minister Modi launches Suzuki's first global electric car, the e-VITARA, boosting India's green mobility efforts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Suzuki's first global Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the e-VITARA, in Gujarat, marking India's emergence as a hub for green mobility. The e-VITARA will be exported to over 100 countries. Additionally, Modi launched the local production of hybrid battery electrodes at the TDS Lithium-Ion Battery plant, boosting domestic manufacturing and clean energy innovation. Suzuki plans to invest ₹70,000 crore in India over the next six years, aiming to strengthen India's position in the global EV market.
