Four children were rescued after a standoff where an ex-husband threatened his ex-wife with a gun.

In a Bettendorf townhouse, four children aged 4 to 7 were rescued after a standoff where a 37-year-old man, Danarease Depress Lawless, threatened his ex-wife with a gun. Lawless surrendered with the fourth child, and no injuries were reported. Police found a stolen Glock 43X 9mm handgun. Lawless faces charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, and trafficking stolen weapons. The case is under investigation.
