EY report projects India could become the world's second-largest economy by 2038, overtaking Germany by 2028.
A recent EY report, based on IMF projections, predicts that India could become the world's second-largest economy by 2038, with a GDP of USD 34.2 trillion in Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) terms.
The report highlights India's favorable position due to its young median age, robust savings and investment rates, and a declining government debt-to-GDP ratio, setting it apart from other major economies like the US, China, Germany, and Japan.
By 2028, India is also projected to overtake Germany to become the third-largest economy in market exchange rate terms.
