Amtrak unveils faster Acela trains with more seats and modern amenities, set to roll out by 2027.

Amtrak has launched its NextGen Acela trains, reaching speeds of up to 160 mph between Washington, D.C., New York, and Boston. The new fleet offers enhanced amenities like free high-speed Wi-Fi, USB ports, and power outlets. With 28 trains set to be in service by 2027, the new trains will provide 27% more seating and expanded schedules. The project, involving components from over 180 U.S. suppliers, created around 15,000 jobs.
