Barry Hill banned from owning horses for three years due to neglect, fined and ordered community service.
Barry Alexander Hill, a 55-year-old from Ashburton, New Zealand, has been banned from owning horses for three years after his 12 horses were found underfed and living in poor conditions.
Sentenced in Ashburton District Court, Hill was ordered to do 300 hours of community work and pay over $5,300 in reparations for vet costs.
The Ministry for Primary Industries found the horses without adequate feed, water, or proper living conditions.
