US ambassador to France summoned over letter criticizing France's handling of antisemitism.

France has summoned US Ambassador Charles Kushner after he wrote a letter to President Emmanuel Macron accusing France of not doing enough to combat antisemitism. France's foreign ministry called the allegations "unacceptable" and stated that French authorities have "fully mobilized" to tackle a rise in antisemitic acts since the Hamas attack on Israel in October 2023. The White House and State Department have not yet commented.
