A motorist in Hertfordshire was overcharged £1,405 for a day's parking at Watford Junction train station, instead of the expected £10. West Midlands Trains, the parent company, refunded the fee and is investigating the error. Councillor Mark Hofman warned users to check receipts and called for an apology from the company.
