Canadian border and security agency employees are among the least satisfied with their jobs, survey reveals.

Employees at Canada's Border Services Agency (CBSA) and Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) are least likely to recommend their workplaces as great places to work, according to a 2024 survey. Among 186,000 federal employees surveyed, 67% overall would recommend their department. The CBSA and Indian Oil and Gas Canada tied for worst, with 46% positive responses. CSIS had 48% approval. CBSA employees report issues with work-life balance, job satisfaction, and recognition.
