Former Bangladesh minister sentenced for role in killing; tribunal schedules report on cases against ex-PM.

The International Crimes Tribunal in Bangladesh has sentenced former Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain to jail for his role in the killing of Tarik Mohammad Saiful Islam. Three cases were filed against Hossain in Meherpur and one in the capital's Adabor. Separately, the tribunal set October 26, 2025, for submitting a probe report in a case against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and others over alleged enforced disappearances and killings during the Awami League's rule.
