Elon Musk's company X Corp has tentatively settled a lawsuit by former Twitter employees seeking $500 million in severance pay. The parties requested a postponement of a Sept. 17 hearing, which was granted, to finalize the agreement. The lawsuit was filed by Courtney McMillan and Ronald Cooper, alleging that Twitter did not pay severance to laid-off workers after Musk's 2022 acquisition and subsequent mass layoffs. The settlement terms remain undisclosed.
