CPSC warns of choking hazard from fake Labubu dolls sold as "Lafufus," seizing thousands from China.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning about fake Labubu dolls, known as "Lafufus," which pose a serious choking hazard to young children.
These counterfeit toys, sold as plush figures and keychains, can break apart easily, releasing small pieces that can be dangerous.
The CPSC has requested the seizure of thousands of units from China and advises consumers to purchase only from trusted sellers and check for safety features like holographic stickers and QR codes.
The UK has also seized over 2,000 of these fake dolls.
