Auburn University to retire Cam Newton's jersey, honoring his Heisman win and national championship.

Auburn University will retire Cam Newton's No. 2 jersey on October 11, honoring his time at Auburn where he won the Heisman Trophy and led the team to a national championship in 2010. Newton becomes the fourth Auburn player to have his jersey retired, joining Pat Sullivan, Bo Jackson, and Terry Beasley. The ceremony will take place during a game against the Georgia Bulldogs at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
