IndianOil becomes first in India to certify sustainable aviation fuel from used cooking oil.
IndianOil has become the first company in India to receive certification for producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from used cooking oil.
The company's Panipat refinery will produce 35,000 tonnes of SAF annually, meeting India's 1% blending requirement for jet fuel starting in 2027.
Additionally, IndianOil has launched a new Butyl Acrylate unit in Gujarat, reducing imports, and plans to build the country's largest green hydrogen facility to lower emissions.
These initiatives support India's goal of net-zero emissions by 2070.
