India establishes 24/7 Flood Control Room after flash floods kill four in northwest region.

A 24/7 Flood Control Room has been set up in Kathua, India, after flash floods in Chashoti caused four deaths and injuries. Union Minister Jitendra Singh visited injured victims in Kishtwar, where rescue efforts are ongoing, involving the Army, BSF, CRPF, and state administration. Prime Minister Modi is monitoring the situation. Sixty-six patients were hospitalized, mostly with soft tissue injuries. A langar organiser was rescued after 30 hours under debris. Flash floods in Pakistan have also resulted in 327 deaths.
