Folajimi Oyekunle of the PDP wins Ibadan North by-election in Nigeria, defeating APC rival.

Folajimi Oyekunle of the PDP won the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election in Nigeria, securing 18,404 votes. His nearest rival, Adewale Olatunji of the APC, received 8,312 votes. The seat became vacant after the death of the APC's Olaide Akinremi. In other by-elections, APC candidates Joseph Ikpea and Omosede Igbinedion won the Edo Central Senatorial District and Ovia Federal Constituency, respectively, with significant vote margins over PDP contenders.
