Indian Supreme Court orders publication of reasons for removing over 6.5M voters in Bihar.

The Supreme Court of India has ordered the Election Commission to publish the names and reasons for the removal of over 6.5 million voters from the electoral rolls in Bihar. This move aims to enhance transparency and allow affected individuals to contest their exclusion using their Aadhaar cards. The Election Commission has also received over 23,000 claims and objections from the public regarding the draft voter list, with 741 disposed of so far. The final voter list will be released after a month.
