Sixteen Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were awarded the Medal for Gallantry for their exceptional bravery during Operation Sindoor, which involved defending against heavy fire and drone attacks from Pakistani forces. Among them are Sub-Inspector Vyas Dev and Constable Suddi Rabha, who continued their duties despite severe injuries from a mortar shell explosion. Five BSF officers received the President's Medal for Distinguished Service, and 46 received the Medal for Meritorious Service. The awards recognize their crucial roles in protecting India's security.
