The Office of the Ombudsman in the Philippines has recommended filing graft charges against several public officials in Bohol, including past and present governors, for their involvement in the development of the Captain's Peak Resort. The resort was built and operated without necessary environmental clearances within the Chocolate Hills National Monument, a protected area. The Ombudsman found violations of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, leading to the potential indictment of over 90 officials, with some facing suspension, reprimand, and the cancellation of retirement benefits.
