Cohere, a Toronto-based AI startup, raised $500 million, increasing its valuation to $6.8 billion. The funding, led by Radical Ventures and Inovia Capital, includes investments from tech firms like AMD, Nvidia, and Salesforce. Cohere plans to use the funds to expand its enterprise AI offerings and research. The company also appointed Joelle Pineau, formerly of Meta, as chief AI officer, and Francois Chadwick as CFO.
