Record number of students accepted into UK degree courses, with notable rise from China.

The number of students accepted into UK universities has hit a record high, rising to 52,640 from 51,170 last year, according to UCAS. Applications from China increased by 13%. Despite pandemic challenges, Jo Saxton, UCAS chief executive, praised students' dedication and encouraged those who missed their targets to explore clearing options, with about 27,000 courses available.
