Ashok Leyland reports a drop in net profit but records highest-ever Q1 commercial vehicle sales.
Ashok Leyland, India's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, reported a 47% sequential drop in net profit to ₹657.72 crore for the April-June quarter, but saw a 20% year-on-year increase.
Revenue fell 20% sequentially but rose 9.4% year-on-year to ₹11,708.54 crore.
The company achieved record Q1 commercial vehicle volumes of 44,238 units, with MHCV truck volumes up 2% and bus volumes up 5%.
Exports rose 29% year-on-year to 3,011 units.
