Sydney's City2Surf race faced its wettest conditions in years as the city saw its rainiest August in nearly a decade. Over 90,000 runners participated in the 14km race from Sydney CBD to Bondi through heavy rain. Floods are easing in New England, but the Namoi River is expected to flood further. Frost warnings are also in effect for much of regional Victoria.
