Jordan hosts meeting with US, Syria on Syria's reconstruction, post $14B investments.

Jordan will host a meeting on August 10 with US and Syrian officials to discuss Syria's reconstruction efforts. Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani and US envoy for Syria Thomas Barrack are set to attend. The meeting follows Syria signing 12 investment agreements worth $14 billion, including a new airport and subway projects. The UN estimates Syria's reconstruction costs to exceed $400 billion.
