Irish Transport Minister criticizes Conor McGregor's presidential bid, deeming him unfit for office.
Ireland's Transport Minister Darragh O'Brien stated that Conor McGregor, a mixed martial arts fighter, would not be fit to be president of Ireland.
McGregor has considered a legal challenge to the eligibility rules for the presidential elections, which require a candidate to be nominated by 20 members of parliament or four local authorities and be an Irish citizen aged 35 or older.
While an election is expected in late October, only two candidates have secured enough nominations so far.
O'Brien believes McGregor lacks the qualifications and experience to hold the office.
