Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) has completed the second release of treated water containing low levels of radioactive tritium into the ocean near Fukushima, Japan.
The water was diluted with seawater before release and meets international safety standards.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed the tritium levels are well below Japan's limit and pose no significant risk to people or the environment.
Releases will continue in scheduled rounds over the coming years.
