Apple and Corning have announced a $2.5 billion partnership to manufacture 100% of iPhone and Apple Watch cover glass in Kentucky, marking the first time all cover glass for these devices will be made in the U.S. The investment will create the world's largest and most advanced smartphone glass production line and increase Corning's workforce in Kentucky by 50%. Additionally, Apple and GlobalFoundries are deepening their collaboration to advance semiconductor technologies in New York, aiming to strengthen U.S. manufacturing and supply chains.
