UK PM Starmer announces £88M investment to boost youth services and combat youth isolation.
The UK government, led by Prime Minister Keir Starmer, has announced an £88 million investment in youth services to enhance after-school activities and reconnect young people with their communities.
This includes £8 million for a pilot scheme to support local authorities and £30.5 million to upgrade youth club facilities in deprived areas.
The initiative aims to address concerns about young people's increasing reliance on digital media and isolation.
It also complements the Plan for Change, which includes extending voting rights to 16 and 17-year-olds and a £500 million fund to protect young people from online harms.
