Iran executes two men, including one convicted of spying for Israel, on August 6, 2025.

On August 6, 2025, Iran executed Rouzbeh Vadi, who was convicted of spying for Israel and providing information about a nuclear scientist killed during Israel's June attacks. Vadi worked in a sensitive Iranian organization. This year, Iran has executed at least eight people convicted of spying for Israel. Another man, Mehdi Asgharzadeh, was also executed for planning Islamic State sabotage inside Iran.
