DMUK surveys shoppers to highlight issues with disabled parking misuse and lack of spaces.
Disabled Motoring UK (DMUK) launched a survey targeting visitors of retailers such as Aldi, Asda, Sainsbury's, and Morrisons to gather data on the misuse of disabled parking bays and Blue Badges.
The survey, running from July 21 to August 15, aims to highlight challenges faced by disabled individuals in accessing parking.
Previous findings showed that 40% of disabled drivers had to leave car parks due to a lack of spaces, and 36% reported non-badge holders occupying disabled bays.
With nearly three million Blue Badge holders in the UK, the demand for accessible parking is increasing.
