Private promoters' ownership in NSE-listed firms hit an 8-year low as DIIs reached a record high.

In the June 2025 quarter, private promoters' ownership in NSE-listed companies hit an 8-year low of 40.58%, marking a net sell value of Rs 54,732 crore. Meanwhile, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) reached a record high of 17.82%, investing Rs 1.68 lakh crore, led by mutual funds. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) ownership fell to a 13-year low of 17.04%. DIIs now hold Rs 81.06 lakh crore in equities, surpassing FIIs by 4.57%.
