Nine people, including a three-year-old, are kidnapped from an Irish-run orphanage in Haiti.

Nine people, including Gena Heraty, an Irish woman who runs an orphanage in Kenscoff, Haiti, were kidnapped. The victims also include seven employees and a three-year-old child. The orphanage is run by the humanitarian organization Nos Petits Freres Et Soeurs. The Irish government is working to secure their release, with the Department of Foreign Affairs providing consular assistance.
