Ireland recalls spinach and lettuce products due to Listeria contamination, posing severe health risks.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has recalled eight batches of spinach, mixed leaves, rocket, and lettuce products due to contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause severe food poisoning, especially in vulnerable groups like the elderly and pregnant women.
The affected products include items from Egan's and McCormack Family Farms, as well as SuperValu and Tesco.
Consumers are advised to check and dispose of any recalled products they have.
