The Mets had taken a 3-0 lead but couldn't hold it, and despite loading the bases in the bottom of the 10th, they fell short. Robbie Ray pitched seven strong innings for the Giants, allowing only one run. The win moved the Giants into second place in the National League West and pushed the Mets out of first place in the National League East.
