Nearly 200,000 KidKraft Farm to Table Play Kitchens have been recalled due to a strangulation hazard, following the death of a 23-month-old Oregon child. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that children's clothing can get caught on hooks, leading to a risk of strangulation and death. The play kitchens, sold online from 2018 to July 2025, should be immediately stopped from use, and owners are advised to remove the original hooks and contact Backyard Kids for free replacements.
