Former MP Prajwal Revanna convicted of raping a domestic worker; sentencing set for Aug 2.

Prajwal Revanna, a former JD(S) MP and grandson of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, has been convicted by a Special Court in Bengaluru for raping a domestic worker at his family's farmhouse in Hassan. The court will announce his sentence on August 2. Revanna faces three other similar cases, and the allegations emerged after explicit videos were leaked online, leading to his arrest and the JD(S) suspending him from the party.
