These sanctions, the largest since 2018, aim to disrupt Iran's oil trade by targeting 15 shipping firms, 52 vessels, 12 individuals, and 53 entities involved in sanctions evasion across 17 countries. The move is part of the US "maximum pressure" campaign to curtail Iran's economic activities and funding sources.
