Thailand and Cambodia are in dispute over whether their ceasefire agreement, reached in Malaysia under US pressure, is holding. The Thai army claims Cambodia breached the ceasefire, while Cambodia denies any violations. The conflict, which started with a land mine explosion, killed dozens and displaced over 260,000 people. Both sides agreed to halt troop movements and establish coordination teams ahead of a joint border committee meeting on August 4. The US urged both countries to honor their commitments to end the conflict.
