The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) found 51 safety lapses at Air India, including inadequate pilot training, use of unapproved simulators, and poor rostering systems. Seven critical issues must be resolved by July 30, with the remaining to be fixed by August 23. This audit follows increased scrutiny after a deadly Boeing 787 crash in June. Air India has acknowledged the report and will submit corrective actions by the deadlines.
