Activision removes Modern Warfare 2 and 3 from Call of Duty HQ app, ahead of new game release.
Activision will remove Modern Warfare 2 and 3 from the Call of Duty HQ app today, turning them into standalone downloads.
Players will need to redownload the games, and legacy content related to these titles will be removed from the app on August 7 to free up space.
This change won't affect Call of Duty: Warzone content.
The move signals preparation for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, set in 2035 and starring Milo Ventimiglia and others, due later this year.
