New Zealand viewers can see meteor showers tonight, peaking at 2am, though clouds may hinder visibility.
The Southern Delta-Aquarids and Alpha-Capricornids meteor showers will be visible over New Zealand's skies from 10pm Tuesday until 4am Wednesday, with the peak around 2am. The Royal Astronomical Society of New Zealand predicts 20 meteors per hour for the Southern Delta-Aquarids and four for the Alpha-Capricornids. However, cloudy weather may obscure the view, according to MetService meteorologist Alwyn Bakker.
