A powerboat driver died after crashing into a stationary houseboat during a race in Suffolk.

A powerboat driver in his 50s died after crashing into a stationary houseboat during a race at Oulton Broad in Suffolk on Thursday around 6:50 pm. Despite efforts by emergency services, including the East of England Ambulance Service and Coastguard, the driver could not be saved. Suffolk Police are investigating the incident with the Marine Accident Investigation Bureau. No other injuries were reported.
