Three miners are trapped in British Columbia's Red Chris mine but are safe and awaiting rescue.

Three miners are trapped at the Red Chris copper and gold mine in Northwestern British Columbia after two "fall of ground incidents" blocked their access. The miners are uninjured and in a refuge area with adequate supplies. Newmont, the mine's owner, is leading the rescue operation with support from British Columbia's rescue teams.
