NASCAR plans its first military base street race at San Diego's Naval Base Coronado in June 2026.

NASCAR will host its first street race on an active military base at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego in June 2026, replacing the downtown Chicago event from the past three years. This event, the NASCAR San Diego Weekend, will honor the U.S. Navy's 250th anniversary and feature all three of NASCAR's national series over three days. The race course is expected to be around 3 miles long, and while this move does not eliminate a return to Chicago in the future, it marks NASCAR's second street race and first on a military base.
