Judith Amaechi, wife of former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi, denied claims by Minister Nyesom Wike that she received N4 billion monthly from the Niger Delta Development Commission for her Empowerment Support Initiative. Amaechi's spokesperson called Wike's claims "utterly baseless" and accused him of using the allegations for political gain. Wike and Amaechi have a history of political rivalry, both having served as governors of Rivers State. The forensic audit report on the NDDC, which Wike referenced, has not been made public.
