Doctor Salvador Plasencia is expected to plead guilty on Wednesday to four counts of distributing ketamine to actor Matthew Perry before his overdose death in 2023. Prosecutors agreed to drop three additional counts of distribution and two of falsifying records in exchange for the plea. Plasencia is the fourth of five people charged in connection with Perry's death to plead guilty. The remaining charges could result in up to 40 years in prison, though a reduced sentence is likely. The final defendant, Jasveen Sangha, known as the "Ketamine Queen," is scheduled to go on trial next month.
